To those in the creative side of the advertising field, check out http://www.photofocus.com for a very approachable photography blog/resource.
And to everyone, because we all live via our “digital life” — check out mydl.me for another user-friendly website (i.e., non-geeky) for tips and articles about how to better manage your digital life.
I’m actually much more pale in person. But you can’t be sure unless you register for the class, IST 400 New Media & Social Technologies. Or, for UIUC students “ADV 400 New Media & Advertising.”
SU Students, the class starts on 1/24 when I am on campus for a 6-hour bootcamp (10a – 4p) to kick start your learning experience.
The rest of the classes will be a mix of live streaming and online lectures with some work in the computer labs. You will have an opportunity at the beginning to shape the schedule and times as a class.
iSchool students: this class counts toward the “Web Design and Management concentration” requirement.
Newhouse PR students: this class counts toward your production elective, but you have to fill out a petition since it is a new class. (Don’t worry, I had about a trillion petitions in my degree file — just make sure you get help filling it out.)
Register now: MySlice Class Number 41733 IST 400 (The class may still be called “Modern Strategies for the Information Age”)
UIUC Students, I will be teaching the class live on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:20pm. The class will be in a computer lab, but you are welcome to bring your laptop if you’d like.
Register now: UI Enterprise Applications Login Class Number 50207 ADV 400 Section Q as in Quailman (The class shows up as “Special Problems” and is taught by “TBD” which can only stand for This Badass Dude — I’m flattered UIUC, I really am.)
